Trivial aortic regurgitation – echocardiogram

Trivial aortic regurgitation - echocardiogramTrivial aortic regurgitation – echocardiogram seen on colour Doppler echocardiogram in the left image (AR). The bluish mosaic jet is seen into the left ventricular outflow tract just below the aortic valve. Chamber distal to the aortic valve is the proximal aorta. Portion of interventricular septum and right ventricle are seen above the AR jet and the anterior mitral leaflet below the AR jet. Left atrium is seen behind the anterior mitral leaflet. The plane 2D (two dimensional) and colour flow mapping images are shown side by side. The images have been captured in parasternal long axis view (PLAX).
