Left coronary angiogram in left anterior oblique (LAO) caudal view showing left main coronary artery (LMCA), left anterior descending artery (LAD) and left circumflex coronary artery (LCX). Obtuse marginal (OM) branch of the LCX is also seen. The Judkins left (JL) coronary catheter is seen engaged in the ostium of the LMCA. Small amount of dye reflux is seen in the aortic sinus proximal to the catheter tip, indicating proper engagement without any wedging. This view is also called spider view because of its appearance. LAO caudal view is useful in delineating the LMCA and the ostia of LAD and LCX. In this case there is mild ostial narrowing of the LAD. While stenting proximal LAD, this view helps us to confirm that the stent is not extending into the LMCA.
